A great day to post!

Here's another of my April weddings from last year!  I've known Dave since my hubby and I were dating some 20 years ago.  They had started playing in a band together back in the day and so have been friends forever!!  Sheri came on the scene a little while later, a sweet gal from New-Wes-Vally ( the place my nan grew up) so I knew she was a great person from the beginning!  And she put up with Dave, so she had to be awesome! ;)

I had the privilege to spend the day Sheri and Dave on their beautiful wedding day.  It was a year today in fact and it was a sunny day to start but as oftentimes in NL, turned a little overcast and boy was it cold!!  We did manage to get outside for some photo ops but not with the hint of frostbite...lol!  Here are some images from their lovely day!

Sam, Susan and their little girl are about as sweet as anyone can be!  Their wedding day was a cold April day but it didn't matter!  There was love, fun and tears too!  We hoped for some photos in a boat and you never know, it is Newfoundland, it could go either way! But there was ice and snow on the pond!  We certainly could have put a boat out there but figured we best not take the chance...lol!  Susan and Sam were real troopers braving the cold and wind and we did manage to get outdoors for some shots and it was worth it!  Here's some highlights from their beautiful day!

It's been quite a while...

It's certainly been a while since I last blogged!  This is the understatement of the year!  It's not because I don't enjoy blogging, it's just that the time it took to blog just wasn't available to me.  So now, in the downtime of winter (which has gone on forever, I know!!) I've decided to share a few weddings from last season.  And I've decided to start with this sweet couple who contacted me in search of a photographer to capture their small intimate, backyard wedding. I had an absolute blast being a part of!  When I first met up with Jess and Fritz, their backyard was just a pile of rock and dirt and in a few short months, they transformed their backyard gravel pit into this magical location.  Family, friends and all those they love attended and helped celebrate their union.  I hope you enjoy my first post of 2013.
