Birthday girl

Turning five is such a milestone!  It's that kind of birthday that says, wow, I'm growing up!!  Look at me, I'm a big kid, I'm 5!! Parents prepare themselves for Kindergarten, having some free time and grocery shopping sans children!!  Although all that is appealing, it's hard on us.  It's very emotional and scary.  We are sending out babies out into the world to go to school and learn things from a new person.  Someone who doesn't know everything about our child, someone who doesn't get the little things that make them unique and special, someone who's not mommy or daddy!!  I remember feeling such mixed emotions about school.  Will the teacher be kind and patient?  Will my child like her class?  Will she do well?  Will she be happy?  Sending my little girl off on that big yellow bus scared the bejeebers out of me!  But she climbed up the stairs, waved bye and off she went.  I don't think she looked back and she's 14 now!

Turning five is about adventure, new friends, exciting stories and a little independence...even if we (the parents) aren't ready for it.  So, I am wishing a very Happy Birthday to this sweet girlie who turns five later this month. 

I am so glad I had a chance to spend time with you and your mom again.  I hope your birthday party is lots of fun and that you enjoy being five.  Because five is so very special just like you!!

Landon

I have grown very fond of this great family.  You have seen them on my blog before and they are growing before your very eyes through my posts!  So, when 3 year old Landon steps out of the car and gives you a big hug, smiles the biggest smile you ever seen and asks "you gonna take my picture?" Well, you kind of feel like family too!!  

Wherever this journey takes me, one thing is for certain, it has allowed me to meet some really fantastic people!  I really feel Blessed to be able to connect with people and love it so much when they keep coming back.  No pressure of course....lol!!

Thanks for having me and allowing me to capture Landon as he grows into a big boy!!

Watching Chase Grow

I met Chase and his family last fall just before Christmas and I have been there over this last year to him grow.  He has now reached another big milestone, his first birthday!  You will remember his sweet little face from earlier posts on www.netteinc.blogspot.com my older blogsite. 

Chase had a big ole' birthday bash featuring The Cat in the Hat.  He wasn't a big fan of his tie, or his hat but we managed to snag a few shots of him in his attire!!

He had lots of fun with his cupcake smash but we messed up the kitchen pretty good! Sorry mom, or should I say dad...not sure who was stuck cleaning up the mess after I left!  I know it wasn't me! ;)

Happy Birthday Chase!! I was so glad to be there for part of your birthday celebration!!
