New things!

I love new things!  Doesn't everyone!  Sometimes change can be frightening and scary but sometimes change is good.  I'm just not a big fan of constant change.  But when an opportunity comes knocking on your door (or in the form of an email!!) and it's something you haven't necessarily done before.  Don't say "no thanks, that's OK"  Take it and embrace it!  Because if there is one thing in life that is constant, it is change!

But, I digress!  I want you to meet this exceptional young lady who is taking part in Miss World Canada 2012 http://www.missworldcanada.org/ this upcoming May.  She's not only a beautiful young woman, she's talented and very involved with her community and an all around sweet girl.  You can check out her impressive background by going to the link above under contestants and while you're there you may as well vote for her :)

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Courtney a few weeks back and it would not have been possible without the referral from an amazing photographer and friend located in Grand Falls Windsor, Sandra Finch.  You can check out her fabulous work at Sandra Finch Photography http://www.sandrafinchphotography.com/   I would like to thank her so much!

I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed this new adventure.  It was a pleasure to meet you Courtney and I wish you every success that I am sure you will accomplish.  Good luck with Miss World Canada 2012 and good luck with those exam results!! ;)

New Graduate

As many of you know, I am a part time nurse, as well as a photographer, and have been for the past 18 years (yes I'm that old!!) I have had the pleasure of working with this lovely young lady when she was a student nurse on my floor.  Now she's ready to leave school behind and make a career all her own.  It was great working with her on the hospital unit, but it was way more fun working with her on this shoot.  We had a wonderful afternoon as we checked out The Rooms www.therooms.ca and then headed downtown for some less formal fun photos.

It was go nice to see you again and I wish you every success in your nursing career.  I am so happy to have had the opportunity to work with you again!! ;)

Congratulations!!
